Spring Trout
The stream flowing in Tinton Falls, behind the old Grist Mill, is usually referred to (by anglers) as the Hockhockson Brook. In fact, NJ Fish and Wildlife call it such in their stocking lists.
However, a perusal of local topo maps shows it listed as Pine Brook, until such brook branches off upstream on Water St.
Upon which the main stem is referred to as Hockhockson Brook with the branch then labeled the Pine Brook.
No matter, trout are in there, albeit in small numbers after the hordes (!!) of anglers trampled it's banks this past stocking season...

Spring Time in Monmouth County
Memorial Day is upon us, along with beautiful weather, awe inspiring really, and a reminder of our Great Creator God, and Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ....
I couldn't get a picture of the trout or panfish I hit today, but did manage a few other pics from central Monmouth County. I encountered no other anglers, though where I parked, families were claiming their tables for all important barbeques ;)
