Late Fall Surprise

Tinton Falls has a real "falls" at the intersection that the old Grist Mill was near.

Of course, the "Grist Mill" is no longer, neither as a real "mill" nor as a restaurant by that name.

The restaurant adjacent to the "falls" has changed names a few times, to "DJs" and "The Falls"

Nevertheless, the Hockhockson Brook is a stream running through Monmouth county with an
interesting history. While it has degraded significantly due to over development in the watershed,
yet there are still sections that support trout year round, at least in average seasons.

As such, NJ Fish and Wildlife have continued stocking trout, and in some cases surplus batches of trout.

In October of this year, 2012, NJ F&W stocked surplus rainbows, most small averaging 6-7" in size.
