Let the Son Shine!
The setting sun, all golden, paints patterns on the wall.
Slowly these patterns fade, as night begins to fall.
Life is like a pattern, that slowly, slips away.
It is so short and so fragile. I ask: what have you done today?
Have you told someone you loved them, or have you thought 'I should?'
Have you given of yourself of service, to the One, who knows you could?
Pattern yourself after the Master, and He will say 'Well done'.
The pattern for your life was laid out by the life of our Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ. Who, though being God, thought it not
robbery to take on the form of a bond-servant. Willingly He laid
His life down in our stead. For all have sinned and fall short of
the Glory of God. No one is righteous. No, not one. No, not you
or I either.
If you know Him, then He commands that you would cast your net
upon the waters. In doing so as He commands, the net will yield
great numbers of 'fish'! For, as Jesus said, He has called us
to make us 'Fishers of Men' :)
These are just some winter time reflections. Fishing has many
metaphors, predators and prey. Laying out lures and bait.
Trout and Stripers.
Coming soon :) Can't wait!
